We are currently in quarantine in the United States and dine in options are no longer available at restaurants. I love cooking at home but I also do like to usually dine at a restaurant once a week and my favorite line that I miss hearing is “Can I start you guys out with some appetizers or drinks “. I decided to share this delicious wing recipe as an ode to dining out. Yes , we are quarantined at home but we can still make the best of it by cooking an appetizer at home. These sriracha sweet chili chicken wings are first fried , then tossed in a sriracha sweet chili sauce . As usual , please let me know how they come out for you and enjoy !
Glam Kitchen Tips
- Make sure your grease is hot before deep frying your chicken wings
- Deep fryers work best to cook fried food evenly , but you can always use a deep pot filled with grease
- I use a wire rack to drain my fried food because it lets the grease drain better. They are sold at many different local stores. Usually when you put fried food on paper towel the bottom side may get moist instead of remaining crunchy, the wire rack prevents that from happening
Ingredients
- 2-3 pounds of whole chicken wings , cleaned and flaps removed
- Vegetable or Canola oil
- 1 teaspoon Adobo seasoning
- 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1 cup flour
- 1 tablespoon Sriracha
- 1/4 cup Honey
- 1 tablespoon Louisiana Hot sauce
- 1/2 cup Thai Sweet Chili sauce
- Celery and carrots (optional)
Instructions
1. Preheat your deep fryer or large pot of oil
2. In a large bowl combine sriracha, honey , hot sauce , and sweet chili sauce -mix well and set aside
3. In a large resealable bag add flour , adobo, black pepper , garlic powder , and paprika -and mix well
4. Toss chicken wings in the bag until all chicken pieces are coated well
5. Fry the chicken wings for 8-10 minutes (do not remove until fully cooked )
6. Drain chicken wings on a wire rack or paper towel
7. Toss wings in chili sauce mixture
8. Serve and enjoy !

Sriracha Sweet Chili Chicken Wings

Hi, because they are fried I wouldn’t – you can always air fry them plain and then toss them in the sauce though
