With my method, I leave the noodles draining in the strainer in the sink, and use that same pot to melt the butter and stir everything up!

- Preheat oven to 375 degrees
- Boil macaroni noodles according to packaging (prepare them al dente), drain them and set aside
- In a large bowl, add pasta noodles and melted butter, stir well
- Add heavy cream, half and half, sour cream, seasoning salt, onion powder, garlic powder, and black pepper-stir well
- Stir in beaten eggs and 16 ounces of Monterey Jack cheese, stir well
- Stir in 8 ounces sharp cheddar cheese and mix well
- Grease a baking dish with butter (or spray with non stick spray) and pour in macaroni mixture
- Sprinkle remaining 8 ounces of Monterrey jack cheese over the top
- Bake for 35-40 minutes or until bubbly and golden
- Remove from oven and let it sit for 5-10 minutes before serving

2025-01-01 at 3:24 amI made this and it tasted very good but it came out way too soupy. I followed the recipe exactly and used 2 cups of heavy cream but instead of 1 cup half and half I used 1 cup milk because that was all I had. Could that have been what made it watery?

If you double it I would probably do the 1 hour 10-20 minutes (check it though and make sure that the top is golden and bubbly ) also if you are cooking it in 1 large deep pan it may need more time. If you are doubling the recipe but cooking it in smaller pans it may not need additional cook time . Hope that helps a bit
