Glam Kitchen Tips

  • Make sure you have all of your ingredients prepared prior to making this recipe -because it cooks on high heat and quickly , it will be easier if everything is prepared
  • Use medium high to high heat depending on your stove -the stir fry method cooks food fast and on a higher heat
  • Use fresh broccoli -trust me it will taste better and more authentic if the broccoli isn’t soggy

  • 1 pound extra large shrimp , raw and deveined
  • 1/2 teaspoon adobo seasoning
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 1/2 cup fresh broccoli florets
  • 3 sprigs green onion, cut into 2 inch pieces
  • 1 medium red bell pepper, cut into 1 inch chunks
  • 1 medium carrot, cut into 2 inch pieces
  • 2 garlic cloves, chopped
  • 2 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon low sodium soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 teaspoon sriracha sauce
  • 1/2 tablespoon corn starch
  • 1 tablespoon water

1. To make the sauce – whisk together hoisin , soy sauce , honey and sriracha. Then in a small cup or bowl mix the water and cornstarch then add it to the sauce mixture and whisk well – set sauce aside

2. Heat a large wok or heavy bottom pan with 1 tablespoon of oil

3. Cook shrimp on each side for 1-2 minutes

4. Remove shrimp from pan and set aside

5. Add to the same pan 1 tablespoon oil , 2 tablespoon butter , garlic, carrots and broccoli florets and stir fry for 4-5 minutes until tender (add 2 tablespoon of water to prevent it from burning if needed)

6. Add the shrimp, bell pepper, green onion and sauce -then stir fry for 3-4 more minutes

7. Remove from heat and serve !

  1. Nice i am going to try this! Do you cook your shrimp on medium high heat?

  2. Made this over brown rice noodles instead of rice (we eat ALOT of rice and wanted to switch it up a little) and it was SO good! I’ve used so many of your recipes, especially since working from home. My husband is very well fed lol

  3. Did you season the shrimp with the Adobo, ground ginger, and garlic powder?

  4. Thanks for sharing! I had to use oyster sauce because I had no Hoisin sauce and it taste just as good. I’ll definitely make this dish again.
