Traditionally meatballs are made with some sort of jelly and Barbeque sauce. This recipe combines honey, Barbeque sauce , pineapple juice and soy sauce to create a finger licking good taste that your guest will be raving about. I used Dollar General’s Clover Valley brand honey and pineapple chunks, and the quality was amazing for a low price. Serving Size 12-14


  • 1 can (20 ounce) Clover Valley Pineapple Chunks
  • 1 cup Clover Valley honey
  • 3 (14 ounce) bags frozen meatballs
  • 2 bottles (18 ounce) of your favorite bbq sauce
  • 1/4 cup low sodium soy sauce
  • 1 sprig chopped green onion to garnish (optional)


1.In a bowl, add bbq sauce , pineapple juice(drain from can) , honey , and soy sauce then whisk well

2. Pour mixture into a large pot, and let it simmer on low heat for 10 minutes

3. Add meatballs and pineapple chunks, then mix contents of pot together until all meatballs are fully covered with sauce mixture

4. Cook on medium heat for 45 minutes if using thawed meatballs , 1 hour if using frozen meatballs

5. Remove from heat, garnish with green onion and serve!
