Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound Chicken breast , cut into 1 inch strips
  • 1 ½ teaspoon Seasoning salt
  • teaspoon Ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion powder
  • 1 cup Buttermilk
  • 1 Egg, beaten
  • 1 cup Flour
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Method
 

  1. Heat a deep fryer or large pot of vegetable oil
  2. In a large resealable bag add flour , seasoning salt , pepper, garlic powder , and onion powder - shake well
  3. In a large bowl add the chicken strips , buttermilk , and egg - mix well so that chicken is fully coated
  4. Let the chicken sit in buttermilk mixture for 5 minutes
  5. Place chicken strips in resealable bag, seal the bag, and shake until fully coated with seasoned flour (I did this in batches of 4-5 strips at a time )
  6. Add chicken breast to hot oil and fry for 4-6 minutes or until fully cooked
  7. Remove from oil and transfer to a paper towel lined plate or a baking rack with paper towel under it
  8. Serve and enjoy !
