My recipe for teriyaki chicken thighs with store bought sauce is one of those recipes that checks all the boxes. Chile, she is that girl because she is quick, easy, high protein, and gives Chinese takeout vibes.
On weeknights I love making meals that don’t require me to spend hours in the kitchen.
This teriyaki chicken is my go-to when I want a dinner that feels like I put in effort, but secretly came together in one pan and was low effort.
Now don’t come for me- this recipe uses store bought sauce. Please understand that it’s perfectly fine to not make every meal completely from scratch. But for my homemade meals warriors, have no fear – I will release a homemade sauce version to this recipe later this year. For now, save time and use a good store bought sauce! I really like the Kinder’s brand.

Glam Kitchen Tips
- Store bought teriyaki sauces usually contain a high amount of sodium- for that reason I did not use an adobo or all purpose seasoning (if you don’t have complete seasoning, use a lower sodium seasoning in place of it or a very small amount of an all purpose seasoning)
- I used chicken thighs for this recipe – however If you prefer chicken breast – reduce the cook time and follow every other part of the recipe the same
- If you don’t have garlic paste, feel free to remove the ingredient and add another 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Add the seasoned chicken thighs and cook for about 10 minutes or until the chicken is almost fully cooked through
Add the teriyaki sauce and cook for another 3-5 minutes or until chicken is fully cooked (make sure that all of the chicken is well coated with the teriyaki sauce). Chicken is fully cooked when the internal temperature has reached 160 degrees
