Southern Baked Chicken leg quarters are the perfect meal to make if you have a pack of chicken leg quarters in the freezer and no idea what to do with them – or if you are craving flavorful legs and thighs that are a cleaner option than fried chicken. I literally make a baked chicken dish every week in my home – I guess you can call me obsessed lol.
This recipe would be perfect with just about any side dish – this is a very versatile meat option to serve in your kitchen.
Baked chicken does not have to be boring, this dish is well seasoned and cooked to perfection.

4 pounds of chicken leg quarters
All purpose seasoning
Badia complete seasoning
Paprika
Garlic powder
Herbs de province
Extra virgin olive oil
Worcestershire sauce
Onion
Red bell pepper
Green bell pepper
Unsalted butter
In a large deep bowl, combine chicken leg quarters, all purpose seasoning, complete seasoning, paprika, garlic powder, herbs de province, extra virgin olive oil, and Worcestershire sauce
Add the seasoned chicken leg quarters to a large, deep baking dish
Bake at 375 degrees uncovered for 1 hour and 10-20 minutes (baste your chicken every 20 minutes) or until the internal temperature has reached 165 degrees.

4 pounds of chicken leg quarters, cleaned and pat dry
1 + 3/4 teaspoon all purpose seasoning
2 teaspoon Badia complete seasoning
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon herbs de province
2 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 small onion, sliced
1/2 small red bell pepper sliced
1/2 small green bell pepper, sliced
6 tablespoon unsalted butter, sliced into 6 pieces
Instructions
1.Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
2.In a large deep bowl, combine chicken leg quarters, all purpose seasoning, complete seasoning, paprika, garlic powder, herbs de province, extra virgin olive oil, and Worcestershire sauce – mix well until leg quarters are evenly coated with seasonings.
3.Add the seasoned chicken leg quarters to a large, deep baking dish and add the sliced onion, red bell pepper, and green bell pepper.
4.Add the 6 tablespoons of sliced butter on top of the sliced veggies
5.Bake uncovered for 1 hour and 10-20 minutes (baste your chicken every 20 minutes) or until the internal temperature has reached 165 degrees.
6.Broil for an additional 3-4 minutes if you would like additional color
7.Remove from oven , baste a final time in the pan juices, serve, and enjoy !
