Fall is here and the holidays are rapidly approaching. It is that time of the year where I kick it into gear and get you ready for the holiday season. Although we are in a pandemic, spending time with your loved ones and social distance quality time is still a priority. This salmon recipe can be paired with mashed sweet potatoes (recipe will follow this one ) and any green veggie of your choice. I fell in love with southwest flavors when I moved to Texas and now I love incorporating them into my recipes. This Orange Chipotle Salmon recipe features my new Adobo seasoning that is preservative and GMO free, order at www.shoptheglamkitchen.com . Ingredients
- 4 pieces salmon (6-8 ounces each )
- 1 teaspoon Glam Kitchen Adobo www.shoptheglamkitchen.com
- 1/2 teaspoon Chili powder
- 2 tablespoon Chipotle Peppers in Adobo sauce (use sauce only not while peppers )
- 2 tablespoon Orange juice
- 1/2 cup honey
- Fresh parsley (optional garnish )
- Orange slices (optional garnish )
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees
2. In a small bowl combine chipotle sauce , orange sauce and honey – set aside
3. Season salmon on both sides with adobo, and chili powder
4. Heat oil in a large skillet and sear salmon on each side for 2 minutes
5. Remove from heat and place salmon in an oven safe dish or pan
6. Spoon 3/4 sauce over salmon
7. Bake for 6-9 minutes depending on desired level of doneness
8. Remove from oven
9. Pour remaining glaze over salmon
10. Garnish with fresh parsley and orange slices (optional)
