Glam Kitchen Tips:
- Leave the tail on your shrimp for presentation purposes ( totally your choice though )
- If you like spicy food, choose a HOT flavored Jamaican jerk seasoning, if you prefer a flavorful less spicy taste choose a MILD flavored jerk seasoning
- You can do part 1 of the recipe and let it marinate for 15-30 minutes before cooking if you have the time
Ingredients:
- 2 pound raw medium shrimp (peeled and deveined)
- 1 medium red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 medium green bell pepper, sliced
- 1 medium yellow bell pepper, sliced
- 3 tablespoons Jamaican jerk seasoning
- 1 1/2 tablespoons browning
- kosher salt
- ground black pepper
- garlic powder
- ground pimento (all spice)
- 4 sprigs of fresh thyme
- 3 sprigs green onion (scallion), chopped
- 3 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
Instructions
- In a bowl add raw shrimp, salt, pepper,jerk seasoning , garlic powder, pimento and browning then mix and set aside
- In a heated large skillet, add olive oil and minced garlic and allow it to sizzle for 1-2 minutes
- Add sliced peppers and green onion (scallion) and sautee for 2-3 minutes
- Add shrimp and allow to cook for 5-7 minutes (or until fully cooked) while continuously stirring
- Remove from heat and serve
