Glam Kitchen Tips:

  • Leave the tail on your shrimp for presentation purposes ( totally your choice though )
  • If you like spicy food, choose a HOT flavored Jamaican jerk seasoning, if you prefer a flavorful less spicy taste choose a MILD flavored jerk seasoning
  • You can do part 1 of the recipe and let it marinate for 15-30 minutes before cooking if you have the time

Ingredients:

  • 2 pound raw medium shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • 1 medium red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 medium green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 medium yellow bell pepper, sliced
  • 3 tablespoons Jamaican jerk seasoning
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons browning
  • kosher salt
  • ground black pepper
  • garlic powder
  • ground pimento (all spice)
  • 4 sprigs of fresh thyme
  • 3 sprigs green onion (scallion), chopped
  • 3 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil

Instructions

  1. In a bowl add raw shrimp, salt, pepper,jerk seasoning , garlic powder, pimento and browning then mix and set aside
  2. In a heated large skillet, add olive oil and minced garlic and allow it to sizzle for 1-2 minutes
  3. Add sliced peppers and green onion (scallion) and sautee for 2-3 minutes
  4. Add shrimp and allow to cook for 5-7 minutes (or until fully cooked) while continuously stirring
  5. Remove from heat and serve
